We are a fly fishing guide service in East Tennessee located in the small city of Maryville, between Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The GSMNP has over 700 miles of freestone streams filled with Brown, Rainbow and Brook Trout along with Smallmouth Bass and Rock Bass. It’s also a completely wild fishery with great hatches of mayflies, stoneflies and caddis, making it an angler’s paradise especially for dry fly fishing. The Park is open year round, allowing folks to enjoy its resources throughout every season. Along with the many fishing opportunities there are over 900 miles of hiking trails and backcountry campsites to enjoy with frequent encounters from wildlife such as deer, bear and turkey and others along the way.

If wading and rock hopping the smaller streams of the Smokies is not your thing, we also offer trips on the tail waters of East TN. The Holston River and Clinch River are incredible trout fisheries with above average sized Rainbow, Brown and the occasional Brook Trout. In addition to trout we also spend a lot of time guiding for Smallmouth Bass in our bigger rivers during the spring, summer and fall months on the Holston River, French Broad River and several other rivers as well. Smallmouth Bass are native to the area and we enjoy showing anglers how to catch these awesome fish.

Fly Fishing is what we do but not only that it is our passion.  We enjoy sharing our knowledge and experience with others in order to make it their passion as well.  We specialize in fly fishing, but will alter your trip to your liking.  We practice catch and release so that others may enjoy the same experience. Whether you are a first time fly fisher or you are a seasoned veteran, you are always welcome here at Frontier Anglers TN.
